The Prodigy - Breathe

Nearly forgot how much I loved this song as a teen. Still has that head-thrashing awesome flavour that keeps my attention even today. Heard this on 102.1 the edge while driving home... Rekindled a long-forgotten love of Alternative Rock.

Old and Older

Today marks the beginning of another ending. A few weeks ago, I finished inking a project for Toronto Cartoonist Workshops. A comicbook series made by amateur cartoonists called Holmes Inc. Jeff Rusland was penciller on this project, and I heartilly apologize for page 3. The rest turned out pretty good, however page 3 is a giant failure in my eyes.
Tonight, I'll be heading over to visit my best friend, Cameron McGuinness to start work on "The Last Supper of Rockstars". A commission piece that I really look forward to ink!

October 29th I'll be at the FanExpo in Toronto, signing copies of the Bobby Bomber issue of Holmes Inc. Can't wait for that!

Retarded Monkey

Today, everything I try fails. Even as simple as climbing on top of something at work, I slip and fall hard. I try and nap, and I can't fall asleep. I forget sample books to hand out because I woke up way too late. I even broke a cellphone game, causing it to glitch out.
Today, I am a retarded monkey, trying to juggle for the first time.

Debut

Another frosty day, another frosty job at Air Canada. Just sitting next to a company computer to pump out my very first blog. Well, the first one that isn't under the guise of an alias who is too busy telling stories to write something relevant to my real life. So, hello! My name is JS Longstreet, as you now know, and I am here to share my thoughts. I'd like to start with movies, since this is one of my favourite pass-times. Tonight we have Meet the Spartans and Rambo coming out. Two movies I have divided opinions on. Meet the Spartans is a symbol to me. I've been a fan of parody, spoof, and farce for most of my life. However, the Scary Movie series had me losing faith in the genre. So, I'm looking forward to seeing if Meet the Spartans can revive my interest... or if it will only further deter me from seeing another parody. Rambo on the other hand, looks terrible. I cannot think of a worse idea... and here's why:
Rambo the Animated Series.
If you have ever had the displeasure to see this absolutely horrid cartoon, you will join my "argh" at the mention of Rambo's name. This movie, from the ads released, seems to be about Sylvester Stallone pulling out some memorable quotes. "When you're pushed, killing is as easy as breathin'." Come on. Rocky Balboa was alright, it showed the closure to the character... Not what Rambo seems to be about. Time will tell, as I'll likely rent Rambo some years later.
